rubbish

  2. Material that is considered unimportant or valueless: “she had to sift through the rubbish in every drawer”.

“Both worry and stress reek of arrogance.”
Francis Chan, Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God

I have never thought of worry and stress like that… A nasty reek?

I always just thought worry makes me look weak, and if I am weak, no one will bother me. But in reality, worry and stress creates a creature in me that acts like I don’t need God.

I’m throwing the rubbish out.

fast check out.

tonight i went to the grocery store. i usually go to the ‘fast’ ‘do it yourself’ check out lanes… but tonight i didn’t… i opted to go to the longer lane, the lane where someone scans your lovely produce for you and bags it for you… but of course, people with a million things in their cart are always bogging down these lanes of magic. as i got up to my turn…

it hit me.

its been a while since i have had a conversation with a check out person. or any person doing me a service. helping me. doing working.

she was nice. a little crazy (but who isn’t). and we talked about weddings, and holiday crowds, and more weekend crowds.

it was nice just to share a smile with connie.

share a smile today. because it’s nice.

never stop fighting…

sometimes…

sometimes i feel like this little bug.

how in the world to i ignore this gigantic cat?

love. always.

what a simple statement.

i am so convicted.

how many times to i just work, walk, move, live. without love.

i need to work on my love more.

just a thought…

We know what we are, but not what we may be.
